Champlin's Realty Associates v. the Coastal Resources Management Council

 

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Attorney General Peter F. Neronha issued the following statement today following the order filed by the Rhode Island Supreme Court in Champlin's Realty Associates v. the Coastal Resources Management Council:

 

“I am pleased with the Court’s decision to grant our motion to intervene in Champlin's Realty Associates v. the Coastal Resources Management Council. As an intervening party in this case, my Office is seeking to protect Rhode Island's unique coastal environment and ensure that the CRMC follows a fair, transparent, and legal process when considering any proposal by Champlin's to expand its marina.”

On Thursday, the Senate parliamentarian ruled that the measure could not be brought in to the almost two-trillion-dollar COVID plan. Democrats are looking to set the minimum wage at 15-dollars-an-hour.        The acting Capitol Police chief says congressional security officials had no previous knowledge of a threat of protestors to storm the U.S. Capitol building. Yogananda [[ yoga-NON-dah ]] Pittman testified in a House hearing and said police were simply unprepared for the January 6th attack. Acting House Sergeant-at-Arms Timothy Blodgett noted "intelligence missteps" before the Capitol assault.       Oregon Republicans have walked out of the state Senate for the third year in a row. It comes in response to the Governor's management of the pandemic. They want schools to reopen and a quicker vaccine distribution plan.        The search is on in Illinois for the owner of a bird, described as loud and belligerent. Seems the guinea fowl is just wandering loose in the small town of Swansea. Neighbors are saying the bird smells and won't leave.
